David Diop (París, 1966) creció en Senegal. Actualmente reside en el sureste de Francia, donde es jefe del departa-mento de Artes, Lenguas y Literatura de la Universidad de Pau. Es especialista en literatura francesa del siglo XVIII y en las representaciones europeas de África en los siglos XVII y XVIII. Frère d?âme, su primera novela, ha sido galardo-nada con los premios Choix Goncourt España, Goncourt des Lycéens y Patrimoines 2018 y con el Globe du Cristal du Meilleur Roman 2019.
