Marlon James (Jamaica, 1970). Su anterior novela, Breve historia de siete asesinatos, fue galardonada con el Man Booker Prize 2015 a la mejor novela del año en lengua inglesa, y finalista del National Book Critics Circle Award [Premio Nacional de la Crítica en los Estados Unidos]. Su primera novela, John Crow?s Devil, fue finalista del Los Angeles Times Book Prize y del Commonwealth Writer?s Prize. También obtuvo el New York Times Editor?s Choice.
